Marvin Lee Adkins
Book author Marvin Lee Adkins pastors not a building, but Pearl River County, Mississippi. There, he and his family live on a horse farm. Marvin is also a prophetic seer and anointed healing minister. Plus, as a published author, Marvin simply writes what Father God tells him, about whatever or whoever.
Marvin enjoys traveling, reading, camping, and freshwater fishing. The image of the fishing pier in the site picture gallery, is from he as raised, in Port St. Joe, Florida. There he was part of the Florida AA State Champion Football team in 1971-72. There he also helped his dad, Thomas Adkins build wooden shrimp trawlers, which he also owned and operated for a season.
Marvin graduated from Gulf Coast Community College, where he studied PreMed, Nursing, and other subjects. There he also served on the Student Government, as the Religious LIfe Commissioner for two years. He worked in local hospitals and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Panama City Beach and surrounding areas, including in Apalachicola, Florida.
When industrial construction work was offered to him in the New Orleans, LA area, he moved. There he worked up to the position of a shift and job supervisor, as an industrial insulator, specializing in sheet metal work. While in New Orleans, he was active in First Assembly of God Church of New Orleans and other ministries, especially prayer and spiritual warfare prayers for people and the city of New Orleans, via home and foreign missions work.
After years of construction work, he married Natalia Velazquez and moved to Dallas, Texas where he attended Christ For the Nations Institute while managing an apartment complex in South Dallas, and served as an Associate Pastor. Later, they with a growing family moved to Waxahachie, Texas to attend Southwestern Assemblies of God College, where he excelled in his full-time biblical studies to the Dean's List again, writing many papers on assorted topics. All as he served up to 70 hours per week as an Associate Manager of a Restaurant miles away.
As Marvin and Natalia were finishing college, they pastored a bilingual church in the Rio Grande Valley for a season. Finding Natalia pregnant with their third child, they returned to Florida to be closer to family. There Marvin returned to construction out of state to support his family, until he was disabled in an accident.
Years later, Marvin and Natalia were divorced, Marvin then married Mimsy, who lived in Mississippi, which has been their home for almost thirty years. Together they share seven children and thirteen grandchildren. Both are active in their local church and other ministries, locally, statewide, and nationally.
Over the years, Marvin and Mimsy have been faithful to do whatever God has asked them to do or serve. This includes church ministries, teachings, jail ministry, deliverance ministry, prayer ministries, writing, etc.
Today, Marvin and his family live on a horse farm in South Mississippi, where he writes and lives God's LIFE Ministry daily however, God directs.
Marvin enjoys traveling, freshwater fishing, fly fishing, RV ing, woodworking, tinkering, solar power projects, reading, and much more. With hundreds of books on his phone, he reads continually, when he is not writing more books, blogs, online articles, etc.
